Bill was born and brought up in Westhill, outside Aberdeen. He has now retired from his Road Haulage Business, which he ran for 44 years.
He has been a Rotarian for 25 years since Westhill Club was founded in 1984 and he became the Founder President.
His Club presented him with a Paul Harris Fellowship in 2004 of which he is very proud. He joined District in 1997 as Youth Exchange Officer which he served for 3 years, and then went onto be Assistant Governor for 3 years covering the Shetlands, Orkneys and North West Scotland. Bill was District Governor for 2006/07, a position that he felt was a great honour.
Bill is looking forward to the Challenge as District Extension Officer North and hopes to be able to put something back into Rotary for what it has given him.
